The objective is to find each word in as few guesses as possible. The word you are looking for is different every time you play. Play as often as you'd like.
When you submit a guess, Blur will blur some of the letters in your guess. The amount of blur on each letter indicates how far that letter is alphabetically from the correct letter in that position.
Keep guessing until you get a word, and then you can try a new word. Guess in fewer than 10 tries and get a prize.
All of the letters are blurry, this means none of them are correct, but notice that they are all blurred to different degrees. The G at the end is more clear than the other letters, so the letter we are looking for in position 4 is relatively close to G in the alphabet. Let's try another word.
This was a nice second guess. The L and the E have lit up. That means we have those letters right, huzzah!
We can learn a lot from comparing our first and second guesses.
In the second position, we have the U from LUXE and the I from SING. Both are about the same blurriness, so we can surmise that we are looking for a letter somewhere near halfway between U and I in the alphabet.
In position three, the X from LUXE is much clearer than the N from SING was. In fact, it's about as blurry as the G in SING was on our first guess. So we are looking for a letter that is alphabetically the same distance from X as E is from G.
When you get the hang of it, you should be able to find most words in 5 guesses or fewer. Give it a shot.
